Loves not.....

Yesterday Martin and I took a post work trip to a DIY shop just down the road from work to buy some paint for our hallway after finally agreeing upon a Dulux shade of Highland Falls 6, just enough green to please Mart and not too much colour to please me.

On to the bus we go with a 5 litre can of paint, making sure to carry the can with its handle rather than the plastic bag handles.

As the time to get off the bus approached us, disaster struck!  I, very stupidly, carried the plastic bag handles rather than the paint can.  At the top of the stairs, a tumble occured.  Not me, but the paint can.  Step after step after step towards the door.  Paint everywhere.  Wilful vandalism?  We made a quick exit and made a dash round the corner.  Out of sight and out of mind?  We could hear the bus turn off its engines.  Oh no!  The driver is coming after us!  Fortunately not.

The next stage of this disaster occured whilst lugging back this dented and open can of 5 litre paint.  Highland Falls 6 splattered my new Christmas present bag and my clothes.

I like the colour but not that much.

I have managed to get the paint out of my bag, although this process left a dark water stain.  The internet is amazing.  I found a post from a lady with a Mulberry bag water stain problem.  She contacted Mulberry who suggested using a metal spoon on the inside of the bag.  This helps the leather release its natural oils.  It works!

I am steering clear of that particular bus route and I will not be wearing the same hat around the neighbourhood for a while either. I am now incognito......
