Like Crazy

We went to see Like Crazy at the cinema on Monday (what an extravagance what with it not being Wednesday you might think - but fear not we had voucher codes) and really enjoyed it.  Not a typical drama/romance, it is, as Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian stated, everything that One Day hoped to be and was not.  A love story based on the idea of 'the one'.  Were Jacob (played by Anton Yelchin, who I last saw as a young boy during our ER re-run marathon - still ongoing) and Anna (a utterly believable Felicity Jones) really 'the ones'.  Or were their subsequent lovers their one person in life?

Anton's character designs furniture, chairs in particular, the same chair it seems over and over.  A nicely designed chair though.

Please Give

I saw this film recently and I really enjoyed it.  It stars Catherine Keener, Oliver Platt and Rebecca Hall.  I particularly liked the scenes in the main character's vintage modern furniture shop - full to the brim with all the things I like - see below post about Danish sofa beds - it did make me giggle when pretentious customers would ask how much and the Catherine Keener character would say oh that's 8 or that's 5.  I felt that perhaps I have joined the vintage modern bandwagon and it's not such a great ride.
